AoiR in Berlin, October 5-8

In October 5-8 I will be in Berlin to take part in the annual conference of the Association of Internet Researchers. The conference is hosted by the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society and the Hans Bredow Institute for Media Research, and will revolve aorund the idea that 'Internet Rules!' I have four presentations in my agenda. I will present the paper on human rights in internet infrastructure, co-authored with Niels ten Oever, at the pre-conference on STS and internet governance; participate in the fishbowl on data activism organized by the DATACTIVE team (with the participation of Lonneke van der Velden, Frederike Kaltheuner, Jonathan Gray and Becky Kazansky); contribute to a panel 'Internet Rules and the Cool Capitalism of Silicon Valley', with Christian Christensen, Victor Pickard, and James Losey, and present my work on cloud protesting ('The Terms Of Service Of Online Protest'). And most importantly, I will listen to and talk to a bunch of amazing people :-)
