The next Techno-Activism Third Mondays Amsterdam edition will be dedicated to internet governance... and will feature a debate on the opportunity to introduce Hacks/Hackers to the Netherlands. The event will take place on Monday the 17th of February, from 7.30pm onwards in the space of ZB45, Zeeburgerpad 45, Amsterdam. *Update* - download here my ICANN presentation at TA3M Amsterdam.

TA3M is an informal meetup for techno-activists, hacktivists and anyone interested in free and open technology. The event takes place in different cities around the globe every third Monday of the month. In this month's edition, I will present the workings of ICANN and its Non-Commercial Users Constituency (NCUC), and lead the discussion on the opportunity to create a Amsterdam/Dutch chapter of Hacks/Hackers. Hacks/Hackers is an international grassroots journalism organization who aims at creating a network of journalists (“hacks”) and technologists (“hackers”) who rethink the future of news and information. We don't have any local chapters in Amsterdam/the Nethelands. Myself and Julie Blusse' from Radio Netherlands International are willing to coordinate one such chapter: what do you guys think? Who can be involved? What initiatives and events can we propose? Come and join us for the next TA3M to discuss this and much much more!
